New Retirement Lifestyle - Reinvent Work, Travel, and Beginning a New Hobby

• House swapping in another country
• RV travel domestic or overseas
• Eldertreks (stress free worldwide travel for people over 55)
• Take a walking vacation
• Travel with the grandchildren
• Rent a houseboat
• Take a hostelling vacation

Reinvent Work

There are a lot of reasons for continuing to work. Perhaps simply needing the money or the health benefits, or, desirous of staying physically or mentally active.

Here are some great ways to reinvent work:

• Start a small business;

• Help ease the teacher shortage - become a teacher or a substitute: Most school systems offer emergency certification programs;

• Caretaking someone else's property;

• Work from a RV or work while living in a RV;

• Re-locate to semi-retire: anew place to work and live;

• Retirement phase: Make it gradual rather than abrupt.

Travelling

One thing most people plan to do after retirement is travel. For some reason, people rarely use their vacation time when they are working to travel and then plan to do major travelling after working for twenty to twenty five years. Travelling after retirement is a great idea however. You are able to spend more quality time in places, without a “set” schedule from work telling you that you must report back to the office in a few days. You can actually take your time and experience relaxation like never before.

Start a New Hobby

Beginning a new hobby is a great way to re-charge third age. Leading in the past a steadfast routine, working long and hard hours, a hobby will offer a new perspective on the years ahead.

• Learn to be an artist;

• Learn to play a musical instrument;

• Begin collecting antiques;

• Start a collection;

• Making a family tree.
